
We’re thrilled to share that Brico, which automates the financial licensing process for Fintechs and Financial Institutions, just announced a $13.5M Series A led by Flourish Ventures. When Snigdha started Brico, we were her first call via a referral from another Restive founder, and wrote the first check to the company. We’ve worked closely with her and the Brico team since, and we’ve continued to concentrate capital into the company, becoming their largest investor.
For us at Restive Ventures, this is more than just a portfolio milestone; it’s validation of the insights, conviction, and hands-on support that define our approach to venture investing.
At the pre-seed stage, so much of what we evaluate is a founder’s clarity of vision and their ability to transform an idea into reality. With Brico, the opportunity was obvious. The pain points of licensing are universal, something we’ve seen time and again across our portfolio companies, and something we ourselves experienced as operators. As soon as Snigdha explained the concept to us, we immediately asked ourselves: “why doesn’t this exist yet?”
That combination of a glaring market gap and an elegant, tech-driven solution gave us the conviction to lead Brico’s pre-seed round. Even at incorporation, Brico had already secured customers, a rare and powerful signal of product-market resonance. Today, Brico’s list of customers includes powerhouse companies like Bilt, Empower, Marqeta, Circle, Better and others.
Of course, great ideas only matter if they are led by the right person. In Snigdha, Brico’s founder, we recognized not just experience but the drive and vision to reshape an industry. Having had a front-row seat to her work at Digit, a former Restive portfolio company, we knew firsthand the caliber of operator she is. That gave us conviction that she wasn’t just going to build a product, but that she was going to build a category-defining company.
