Before joining Restive, I worked across multiple sectors within private markets, helping early-stage companies grow from idea to traction. I’m especially drawn to financial services because of its depth, complexity, and potential for impact. It’s one of the most powerful and under-appreciated levers for change. There’s so much opportunity to build better systems for the way money moves.

At Restive, I’m focused on identifying markets in flux and backing founders with personal stakes in the problems they’re solving. You can feel it when a founder has real skin in the game - when they’re not just building a business, they’re trying to rewrite how something works.

I’m from North Carolina but studied at USC and spent a year living in Paris. I speak conversational French and once climbed the highest mountain in North Africa. Outside of work, I’m usually exploring - on a trail, in a new country, or through a great book.”

—Ben Glenney has been working in the venture capital industry since 2020, most recently with Pilatus Capital. He began his investing career at CFV Ventures, a fintech-focused fund based in his hometown. Over the course of his career, Ben has backed more than 25 early-stage startups across multiple sectors. He holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
